Having read the previous, it probably won’t come as a surprise that again an animal is involved in the processing of the beans, this time no civet cats, but a rather larger creature: elephants. A group of these majestic animals, living in a reserve in Thailand, eat the beans, giving their caretakers the rather smelly job of retrieving them from their droppings. The resulting coffee is said to have a spicy flavour of milk chocolate, nuts and red berries.
Very unlikely I'll be finding out soon if this is true.
