After the idea for this blog took shape, the more challenging task to find a name arose. As this blog will be about coffee, it is quite obvious the word would preferably be in it, but just 'coffee' was, well kind of dull. So the quest for something more fun and catchy continued.
I ended up involving my wife in the search, but the more we thought about it, the more we got stuck on all possible combinations of coffee and cups and that just wasn't it. So we ended up surfing the web for ideas, where we came across the quote "I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee" by Carly Simon. Now 'Clouds in my coffee' would have been perfect, as it had the added bonus of referring to clouds, and Yunnan, where we are currently living, literally translates to 'South of the cloud'. But we didn't want to just steal these few words so we juggled a bit with them. And that's how Coffee in the clouds was born.
And for those wondering, the quote does come from the song "You're so vain". Having said this, I might no longer be the only one in whose brain this song keeps on repeating itself.
